formally known as Columbia River United FA/Centennial SC

The affiliation is known as the "Total Futbol Academy Collaboration program" because all Barcelona USA clubs support and promote the same player development methodology that has made Spanish soccer club FC Barcelona the international powerhouse it is today, a mixture of the Dutch "Total Futbol" and the Spanish "Tiki-Taka" possession-based style of play.
This restructure will begin to happen gradually, and the club's Fall teams will continue to be registered as Centennial SC teams, and will continue to wear the Centennial SC uniforms for the remainder of the season. At the end of the Fall season all teams will officially be registered as Barcelona OR teams and will begin wearing the official Barcelona uniforms.
"We are excited to be aligning ourselves with a major international brand that is known for its superb player development," said Christopher Cramer, Director of Coaching. "Our club is now part of a tremendous network of clubs that all share our same vision and goals. We will have unprecedented access to the curriculum and strategies used at La Masia, the FC Barcelona youth academy."
Included in this re-brand is competitive club Columbia River United FA (CRUFA). Going forward both clubs will now operate under the new name, meaning Barcelona OR will have a recreational and competitive program. "We want the club philosophy to be part of our players' DNA, and that means starting at the grassroots level. Every player in our club, whether recreational or competitive, will follow the Barcelona methodology. That makes what we are doing at Barcelona OR unlike anything else being done in the State of Oregon, and that is something we are very excited about."
Both Columbia River United FA and Centennial Soccer Club will begin gradually making the transition to the new brand and club structure during the Fall season. The transition should be complete prior to the start of the Winter competitive season.
